Cyberattack on Ukrainian Railways

On Sunday, Ukraine’s state railway operator, Ukrzaliznytsia, suffered a “massive targeted cyberattack,” according to a statement on Telegram. As of Monday morning, restoration efforts were still underway.

Although train operations and schedules remained unaffected, the company’s online booking system was temporarily down. Ukrzaliznytsia emphasized its resilience, stating that “even the most vile cyberattacks cannot stop” the railway’s operations, despite repeated physical attacks on its infrastructure.

Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces reported that four Russian military helicopters in the Belgorod region were destroyed using American-supplied HIMARS rocket systems. The attack, documented through drone footage, targeted a concealed “jumping-off point” used by Russian aircraft for surprise offensives against Ukrainian troops.

Meanwhile, Russian forces launched 99 drones into Ukraine overnight, including attack and decoy models. Ukrainian air defense successfully intercepted 57 of them, while 36 others went off radar.
